Lauren Conrad Covers in Glamour May 2012

Glamour Magazine is featuring Lauren Conrad for their May 2012 magazine issue.

Let’s take a sneak peek of some of Glamour’s interview on MTV’s golden girl, Lauren Conrad.

GLAMOUR: Your new book is about a bad girl who loves to cause drama on her reality show. Does any of that draw on your time in Hollywood?

LAUREN CONRAD: Yes, definitely. I knew people who called the paparazzi on themselves! Their point of view is “They’re going to photograph me anyway, and this way I get paid half of what they make.” I could never bring myself to do it, but it was kind of fun to write it from that point of view.

GLAMOUR: Are you able to watch other reality TV, like The Real Housewives or The Bachelor, or do you just complain to your friends, “Look how scripted that is!”

LAUREN CONRAD: I do! I’m always so bad about continuity errors, or all the little tricks they do; they cut and paste together these voiceovers. But you have to know that these poor editors have to make something out of nothing sometimes, because so much money goes into every shoot.

GLAMOUR: What’s another trick we might not know about?

LAUREN CONRAD: During shooting, the producers would send us quick text messages telling us what to talk about. They couldn’t walk through the shot, so they’d just text me, like, “Say something quick about this story line.” That’s why we were always checking our phones!

GLAMOUR: You’re awfully considerate when you talk about the crew on these shows.

LAUREN CONRAD: I was really lucky. You see the crew more than you see your friends and family. One producer, Sophia, is still one of my best friends. I think it’s funny because you’re never supposed to make eye contact with the crew during a shoot. Sometimes you want to turn to a friend and you can’t!

GLAMOUR: Did you watch the series finale of The Hills?

LAUREN CONRAD: I didn’t ever watch it.

GLAMOUR: Liar!

LAUREN CONRAD: I swear on my life! I only watched the last minute and a half at the finale party.

GLAMOUR: People often say that reality stars are famous for doing nothing. Did you feel like you had to prove yourself?

LAUREN CONRAD: I did, and it was very frustrating because I almost wanted to send critics my weekly schedule and say, “This is my ‘nothing.’ ” I would film all day, and then I had several other businesses on the side: In the last season I was running a clothing line and writing a novel. I work really, really hard.

Katy Perry in Teen Vogue May 2012

Katy Perry’s Teen Vogue photo shoot is done but it is not released yet.  She may not be your traditional pop singer but whatever she wears she rocks it.  :-)  I never knew that blue will be a great hair color, not since Katy Perry worn it.

I tell she can really wear clothes. ;-)  Look at her Teen Vogue photos below and some excerpts from her interview with Teen Vogue:

Katy Perry

TEEN VOGUE: Were you inspired by other pop documentaries, like Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never or Madonna’s Truth or Dare?

KATY PERRY: A little. Madonna is everything to me, and that movie is amazing because it caught her at a time when she was a bit more vulnerable. I wanted to do that too, to capture a snapshot of who I am now so that I can remind myself what I’ve lost if I ever do become totally jaded. [Laughs]

TEEN VOGUE: You’re really close with actress Shannon Woodward, from Raising Hope. Was it her idea for you to appear on her show?

KATY PERRY: Yeah, she was like, If you ever want to do anything, let me know—we write for you all the time. I wanted to be unrecognizable. I love making people laugh, even if it means I’ll never get another date again. My heroes in film are women like Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler: They’re gorgeous, but they’re confident enough to be able to laugh at themselves.

A Girl’s Spell

google images

If we are going to trace back when the first lingerie was worn, the internet answers that it was worn millions of years ago, before Christ arrives, internet says.  But of course the lingerie back then is not like the lingerie we have today. Maybe it is much simpler and is worn for only for functional reasons.  Today, lingerie, especially that lingerie Australia, is created also for aesthetic considerations.  The laces, the fabrics, the ribbons are all there to add sexiness, to put more seduction.

Lingerie is worn mainly for two purposes.  To enhance what a woman already have and to hide what a woman unwontedly have. This means, that lingerie is made not just to show off more skin more but also to cover what should be hidden and by covering it up, the girl’s assets are much revealed.  Corsets are worn to make the waist look slimmer.  Bustiers on the other hand, push up a woman’s bust looking it much fuller and much bigger.

The materials where the lingerie is made and its design implies a meaning and that are what made it much sexier.  The laces, silk and satin teases, it seduces.  Lingerie made from leather connotes rebellion, velvet lingerie means exotic while cloth is for modern women.  Yet, whatever material it is made from, lingerie can tune up one’s imagination and can turn on every erotic zone.  Lingerie is like a magic wand that when worn, every man would be put into her spell.  Funny as this may sound, but who would have thought, that this small and little pieces of garments can actually turn a man’s world upside down?
